Buying
- Meet in a public place and bring a friend if you can.
- Check the item before you pay. Test electronics, start the car, open the box.
- Pay on collection. Never send a deposit to hold an item.
- If a price looks too good to be true, it usually is.
Selling
- Never share your bank details, PIN or one-time codes.
- Ignore “I’ll send a courier, just pay the fee” messages. That is a scam.
- Only accept cash or a bank transfer you can see has cleared.
