What delivery drivers do
Delivery drivers move parcels, food and goods from depots to homes and businesses. Most work runs from a local depot, with a set route or a list of drops planned by an app.

- Deliver parcels and get proof of delivery
- Plan around traffic and time windows
- Keep the vehicle clean and report faults
What you need
- A full UK driving licence (category B for vans)
- Right to work in the UK
- A clean or near-clean driving record
- Basic smartphone skills for the delivery app
How to stand out when you apply
- Say how many years you have held your licence and how many points you have
- Mention local roads you know well
- Ask if fuel and van are provided, or if it is self-employed with your own vehicle
