Why we built NextDealUK
Local selling should be simple. Over the years, the big classified sites have filled up with banner ads, paid boosts and new charges at checkout. Pages load slowly, and scams are easy to run because anyone can post anything in seconds.
We started NextDealUK in Cambridge in 2026 to do it differently: a clean, fast site where real people sell real things to people nearby, with safety built in from the first click.
What makes us different
- Free to post. Free to sell. Placing an ad costs nothing, and we never take a cut of your sale.
- Every ad is checked. New ads go through an automatic safety check before they go live. Weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods and known scam patterns are blocked, and higher-risk items like pets are reviewed by a person.
- Your contact details stay private. Buyers message you through our on-site chat. You choose whether to show your phone number or email.
- Clean and quick. No pop-ups, no giant banners at the top of the page, and pages built to load fast on mobile data.
- Real local jobs. Our Jobs section shows live vacancies across the UK from trusted job boards, with dedicated pages for 25 UK cities.
How it works
- Post your ad. Add a few photos, a clear title, your price and your area. Post a free ad.
- Chat with buyers. Messages arrive in your NextDealUK inbox. Reply quickly to sell faster.
- Meet and swap. Meet in a safe, public place, check the item, then pay. Our safety tips explain how.
Keeping you safe
Safety is part of how the site is built, not an afterthought. Every ad has a Report button, and every report gets a reference number and a reply. We remove illegal content, suspend accounts that break our posting rules, and work with the police when the law requires it. We follow the UK Online Safety Act and keep a written risk assessment of how we handle illegal content.

How we keep the site free
NextDealUK is funded by advertising and by “Compare with new” links to retailers, which may earn us a small commission. In future we may offer optional paid extras for sellers, such as featuring an ad. Posting and selling will stay free.
